About Us
Our Founder, Sean Kelly
Sean Kelly is a drywall contractor specializing in metal framing, acoustic ceiling, and various drywall textures, with Contractor's License in drywall and acoustics. Sean is rated as a superior Level 5 Finish on drywall.
Starting at the age of 12, Sean worked for his father on the weekends, helping complete large commercial projects like remodeling the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel. Trained by his father, owner of Kelly Construction, Sean joined the Carpenters Union and completed an extensive apprenticeship program after graduating high school. Now, with more than 25 years of experience, Sean has skills in problem solving, organization, communication, punctuality, efficiency, and interpersonal connections.
Sean established Excel Drywall and Acoustic in June 2021. Sean runs and performs long-term commercial and residential projects around Kona, Hilo, and Honolulu. Based in Kona, West Hawaii, Sean works islandwide.
When Sean is not working, he loves spending time with his wife and children, going to the beach, ocean fishing, and working on his cars.
